Showcase Sunday #13

ashenShowcase Sunday is a weekly meme hosted by Vicky @ Books, Biscuits & Tea. The aim of this event is to showcase our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders this week. For more information about how this feature works and how to join in, click here.

Happy Sunday, everyone.

Here’s my SS:

BOUGHT:

This one came out this week, and I’d been waiting on it, so obviously I snatched it up right away. You can read my review HERE!

Very restrained buying this week. I did have my (early delivered) copy of Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry show up as well, but it was damaged. Luckily, Amazon are sending me a replacement so I’ll wait on that to post it in my showcase. I’ve already read this one–had an ARC via NetGalley, and I loved it so much (my review) I just had to grab a hard copy. :)

GIFTED/WON/LOANED:

Jen from At Random very kindly offered and sent me her copy of Pretty Amy. I’m really looking forward to this one as it’s been on my TBR pile a little while now.

(Thanks, Jen!)

FOR REVIEW:

When I first saw this on NetGalley, I passed over it when I realised it was a second book. But then in a lightbulb moment, I suddenly realised that I got book 1: Ashfall a couple weeks back in an amazing gifted book haul, so back to NetGalley I went and requested it. Very excited to have been permitted a copy. I’ll be reading those two next week for sure. :)

I really wanted to request this one when I first spotted it on NetGalley, but I’d already clogged up my review queue and so didn’t think it fair. Well, now my queue is almost empty, and they still had it up, so I’m real happy to get a copy of this as I’ve seen reports all over the shop. :)

Another one I’m really excited to get. The blurb sounds pretty cool and the cover is just awesome.

And that’s it.

What’s in your Showcase Sunday this week?

:)

    • I’ll be honest: It was the cover that drew me in. I only have the adobe version, though, which means I can only read it on my laptop. Little bummed about that, but at least I’ll get to check it out. :)

I love it when people talk to me. :o)
