It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

“It’s Monday! What are you reading?” is a weekly event hosted by Sheila at Bookjourney to share with others what you’ve read the past week and planning to read next.

Read since last week:

All the Broken Piece by Cindi Madsen

(review to come closer to release)

Tempest Rising by Tracy Deebs

(review to come this week)

That’s it.

Onto Currently Reading:

So far, this is a fun contemporary romance.

And, finally, my biggest hope to get to read this week:

Had this one a couple weeks now, and have been too busy to pick it up, but I hope to rectify soon as I loved Touch and Untouched. :)

So what about you guys? What are you all reading this week?

Showcase Sunday #14

ashenShowcase Sunday is a weekly meme hosted by Vicky @ Books, Biscuits & Tea. The aim of this event is to showcase our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders this week. For more information about how this feature works and how to join in, click here.

Happy Sunday, everyone. I missed last week’s due to being away–but being away also means I don’t really have a tonne to share. But here’s what I got:

BOUGHT:

Eeeeep! Pushing the Limits & Onyx. I’ve already read both of these and just HAD to have the hard copies. They’re awesomesauce.

My reviews:

Pushing the Limits

Onyx

I grabbed this one on recommendation from a friend. You can read my review HERE!

GIFTED/WON/LOANED:

Something strange and deadly–a gift from the awesome Katherine Skye (thanks heaps).

Gunmetal Magic by Ilona Andrews, gifted by the lovely Emma Wood as she had a spare (thankee!)

FOR REVIEW:

Crossing Hathaway by Jocelyn Adams. More known for her fae in the Lila Grey books, this is a first foray into contemp romance for Ms Adams, and I hope to get to this one real soon.

Man, I nearly peed my pants in excitement when I was approved for this on NetGalley, coz I LOVE me some Merrick brothers. You can read my blathering review HERE!

For a limited time, Hyperion have been allowing a sneak peek at this upcoming title, so I’m glad to have been able to nab a copy. Hope to get to this one soon.

And that’s me.

What’s in your Showcase Sunday this week?

:)

Cover Reveal: Crossing Hathaway by Jocelyn Adams

I’m very excited to get to share in the cover reveal for good friend and awesome author Jocelyn Adams.

Crossing Hathaway, Jocelyn’s first contemporary romance, is due for release August 4th 2012 via Liquid Silver Books, and I’m mega excited for her.

So I guess I’ll quit waffling and show you the goods.

And here’s the blurb:

Thirty something Eva had a choice to make: shut her big mouth and work directly for Ben Hathaway—the übersexy, incredibly arrogant, reclusive owner of Hathaway Pharmaceuticals. Or tell him he’s an ass like she’s dying to do and get herself fired.

Giving up, though, would leave her penniless, land her back home with a father who hates her, and without the only job she’s ever loved.

Decision made, Eva opts for the lesser of two evils. So she thinks.

Ben keeps Eva on call twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week—tasked with activities that don’t fit her job description: like getting him coffee, staying for dinner, and more … personal requests. Despite having sworn off men, the chemistry between them lights fires she’s supposed to be putting out.

As it turns out, getting screwed by the boss takes on a whole new meaning. When word of their developing relationship leaks, both of Eva’s roles—reluctant girlfriend and IT genius—are subject to termination.

She was absolutely right when she thought getting involved with Ben was a bad idea, and now, balancing work and love may no longer even be an option. Saving Ben may require that Eva walk away. From everyone.

That, or death may be the cause that parts them. Forever.

Having read other titles by Ms Adams (The Glass Man, Touch of Frost), I’m 100% positive this will be an absolute win. Of course, I’ll be able to pitch in and let you know for sure, because I have every intention of reading & reviewing this one–in fact, it’s already on my TBR pile (psst, you can add it to yours by clicking the cover image). :)

So what do you guys think?
