“It’s Monday! What are you reading?” is a weekly event hosted by Sheila at Bookjourney to share with others what you’ve read the past week and planning to read next.
Seems like forever since I last did one of these posts. Mega apologies for that. I’ll make an effort to catch up, and hopefully won’t forget some of the books I’ve read since my last post.
Read since my last post:
The Third Scroll: Hardstorm Saga #1 by Dana Morton (read my review here)
Minder: Ganzfield #1 by Kate Kaynak (read my review here)
Shadow Bound: Unbound #2 by Rachel Vincent (read my review here)
Insurgent: Divergent #2 by Veronica Roth (read my review here)
Elemental: Elemental #0.5 by Brigid Kemmerer (review to come)
After Dark: The 19th Year Trilogy by Emi Gayle (review to come)
Call of the Sea by Rebecca Hart (blog tour coming soon)
The Selection: The Selection #1 by Kiera Cass (read my review here)
And onto Currently Reading:
Well, after trying and failing to get into Department of Magic by Rod Kierkegaard Jr., Can’t Buy Me Love by Maggie Marr, and Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein, and The Glimpse by Claire Merle (I did make it to 20% with this one but it was hard work because the world that’s been built isn’t 100% clear to me, and trying to keep track of that detracted from emerging myself in what the characters were doing, and the plot. Maybe I’ll try again in a week or two), Timepiece by Mira McEntire (think I struggled with this one due to not having read the first book), and Shift by Kim Curran … Then finally The Selection saved the day.
And now, I’m giving :
a go.
I’ve had this one on my kindle awhile and have been meaning to get to it. And now, as I’ve recently been granted a copy of The Goddess Legacy via NetGalley, I figured I should quickly catch up.
And finally, my biggest hope to get to read this week is:
Though I’ve planned a re-read of Jennifer L. Armentrout’s Covenant series with Kayleigh of K-Books (as well as a couple others) in celebration of the Deity ARC’s being released soon, so there’s a chance that re-read may get in the way of my ‘should-be-doing’ plans.
So what about you guys? What are you all reading this week?
